成果简介:TiO2 microspheres with tunable particle size were prepared in alcohol without template via a facile non-aqueous sol-gel process on the basis of ester elimination mechanism. The microspheres prepared in methanol have smaller diameter than that prepared in ethanol. The diameter of TiO2 microspheres in the range of 0.4-2.9mm was controlled by the ratio of methanol in the solvent. When the samples are prepared with low amount of methanol, the reactivity of the modified titanium precursor is significantly improved as the volume of methanol increases, leading to a dramatically decrease of the diameter of TiO2 microspheres. When the samples are prepared with high amount of methanol, the reactivity of the modified titanium precursor is slightly improved as the volume of methanol increases, leading to a minor decrease of the diameter of TiO2 microspheres.
